Carolina Crown, Inc. is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Innovative Percussion, the industry-leading manufacturer of percussion sticks and mallets. Through this exciting collaboration, Innovative Percussion will provide Carolina Crown with a full range of implements to support the corps’ percussion program.

On Saturday, October 5, bands from across the Carolinas competed at the annual BandBEAT Marching Band Championships hosted by Carolina Crown and the Catawba Ridge HS Band Boosters. Clayton HS claimed the 2024 Silver Division Grand Championship (1A & 2A), while D.W. Daniel HS secured the Gold Division Grand Championship (3A, 4A, & 5A). These awards were given to the highest scoring band in each division, regardless of class.

Carolina Crown is excited to welcome Clif Walker and Joe Hobbs to TeamCROWN! They will join Reid Atkinson, Michael Klesch, Jeff Sacktig, and other members of the Creative Team and will focus on Percussion design and orchestration for the upcoming season. Clif and Joe are accomplished musicians and educators who bring a wealth of experience to the team from across the marching arts.

The Crown Hall of Fame Committee has selected five Finalists for the Class of 2024!

Nominations are now being accepte for the Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The Hall of Fame consists of exceptional individuals within the Carolina Crown organization.

As excitement for the summer continues to build, we are thrilled to welcome world-renowned composer John Mackey! Mackey has been commissioned to compose an original piece for Crown’s upcoming production.

The Carolina Crown Board of Directors has elected three new members. Please join us in welcoming Kerry McIver Cordan, Lori Ann Vinson Summers and Lorri Shealy Unumb to the organization!

Carolina Crown has named Joe Roach to the position of Executive Director. Roach, who joined the team in December 2022, brings a wealth of experience from previous organizations such as Music City Youth in the Arts and The Cavaliers.
