Dear Carolina Crown Alumni, Parents, Supporters and Fans:

As most of you know, Carolina Crown is having the greatest season of its 19 year history this summer. Why, just recently in Orlando we established new “firsts” by winning a DCI premier event, and doing so with a big victory over our east coast rivals, The Cadets. And then, another first, finishing 3rd in a major regional championship in San Antonio.

What you might not fully understand is the impact that rising fuel prices have had on the cost of moving Carolina Crown down the road (just over 12,000 miles this summer). Diesel for our buses and trucks has jumped to just under $5.00/gallon as compared to less than $3.00/gallon last summer! Every fill-up of our fleet costs us nearly $7000! And, we still have half the tour to go!

Generous fans have been dropping their spare change in our “Fuel Fund” can at the souvenir booth at each show. However, that just isn’t enough! We could certainly use your assistance in meeting this challenge of moving our fleet!

So, we’ve got about 6000 miles left! Can you help move Carolina Crown a mile, five miles, 20 miles? Help us complete this extremely exciting season! We appreciate your consideration and any assistance you can give to get us those miles down the road.
