As part of the Carolina Crown Partners in Education Program, over 300 area middle school band students partipated in auditions for the 16th annual York County Honor Band, this past Tuesday at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, SC.

Band students from across York County were adjudicated by local middle school band directors, and over 100 were chosen to perform in the band. They will participate in clinics on January 27 and 28 and perform in concert on the evening of the 28th.

Carolina Crown has hosted Honor Bands for area Middle & High Schools since 2000, when six schools in participated and 70 students were chosen for the clinic and performance. Through this process, we have been able to reach out and give back to our community, providing an exciting and enriching educational experience for local band students and music educators.

Since the early years of this program, the Honor Bands have grown to encompass a much larger geographical area and reach hundreds of students. We are proud to present another year of sound educational instruction with inspiring clinicians to help motivate and enrich the students of both North and South Carolina.
