January camp is HERE! Our host school for this weekend is Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC and our gracious hosts are band directors, Martin Dickey and Ray Linkous. It is time for everyone to start thinking about travel arrangements
to camp. If you are flying, riding a bus, or taking a train, you need
to email your travel itinerary to the office so that we can make sure
that everyone is picked up and ready to go. You can send that
information to anna@carolinacrown.org
If you are going to be late or absent, please contact Anna or Megh so that they know when to expect you, if at all.
Air Travel : Our shuttle service starts at 4pm. When you arrive at Charlotte-Douglas Airport (CLT) you need to wait at BAGGAGE CLAIM DOOR D! The shuttle will pick you up from that baggage claim. You need to RSVP on CorpsData and enter in your flight details there.
Bus or Train Travel: You will be traveling into the CHARLOTTE terminals for both bus and train. Make sure you email Anna if you are traveling by bus or train so that she makes sure the shuttle comes to pick you up.
Car Travel:
Below are the directions to the high school if you are driving. NATION FORD HIGH SCHOOL (SC) is approximately 20 minutes south of Charlotte, NC.
Nation
Ford is the newest school in the Fort Mill School District. It is SO
new, that you probably WILL NOT find directions of the web. Please use
the directions below. TRAVELING SOUTH ON I-77 •South on I-77
•Take EXIT 88 - Gold Hill Rd / Charlotte Knights Stadium (in South Carolina) -
•Turn LEFT at the end of the exit ramp to go straight to the 3rd stoplight (approx 2 miles).
•At the 3rd light go STRAIGHT (approx .5 miles)
•The
school will be on your LEFT, but you may not see it easily because it
is behind a section of tall trees. Be sure to look for the Crown Road
Signs.
•You will pass the school about 50 ft and then must turn LEFT
on AQ Jones Rd. and you will see the school immediately on your LEFT.
•Turn
in to the school and park in the closest lot. Please observe any signs
you may see that state "No Crown Parking." The entrance for Crown
students will be on the same side as the lot you will park in. END at Nation Ford HS, 1400 A.O. Jones Blvd , Fort Mill, SC 29715 --------------------------------------------- TRAVELING NORTH ON I-77 •North on I-77
