THE AUDITION PROCESS
The audition process starts at the November camp. These sessions will be taught by various staff members, former Carolina Crown drum majors and respected members of the drum corps community.
Conducting auditions will be held throughout the weekend starting Saturday night. Callbacks will occur during the December audition camp. The position of drum major is a very important role within the drum corps. Several components, such as leadership skill and attitude, will be under consideration in the decision of sellecting a drum major, not just conducting skills.
Dedication to the drum corps is another major component of being drum major. You must attend the November audition camp to be considered for the position. Drum majors for Carolina Crown are expected to attend every pre-season camp unless there is an emergency which prevents their attendance. *If there is a college or high school marching band conflict you will need to contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
