THE AUDITION PROCESS
The audition process starts at the November camp. Our drum major candidates will go through several sessions that will cover a variety of topics such as general leadership, to running a drum corps, conducting, score and drill study. These sessions will be taught by various staff members, former Carolina Crown drum majors and respected members of the drum corps community.
Conducting auditions will be held throughout the weekend starting Saturday night. Callbacks will occur during the December audition camp. The position of drum major is a very important role within the drum corps. Several components, such as leadership skill and attitude, will be under consideration in the decision of sellecting a drum major, not just conducting skills.
Carolina Crown prides itself in developing lifelong excellence in young people and we are very excited about this new opportunity for our drum corps and for those auditioning.
