CrownGUARD back in WGI!
Carolina Crown is excited to announce the addition of another performance ensemble to the organization. After six years away from the activities of Winter Guard International (WGI), CrownGUARD returns to the “Sport of the Arts” in WGI Independent World Class competition.
“The opportunity to offer a winter performance ensemble for the many talented guard performers in the southeast is very exciting to the Crown organization, and just another step in our continued development” states Jim Coates, COO of Carolina Crown. “Adam Sage is the Director of the program and for logistical purposes the winter guard will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia, with some camps and performances in the Carolinas throughout the season,” Coates added. The staff assembled by Adam Sage includes Michael Townsend, Adam Dalton, Jay Jernigan, Michael Gaines, Stephanie Boisjolie, Greg Lagola, Susan Hanggi, Rosie Queen and Michael Floyd. “Having the opportunity to work together with this dynamic staff and collaborate in the revival of the CrownGUARD is an absolute thrill,” says Sage. Together they will further the organization’s mission of “Developing life long excellence in young people through a superior and challenging performing arts education experience.”
