CAMP ATTENDANCE POLICY

It is expected that everyone auditioning for brass and percussion attend as many camps as possible during the pre-season to be considered for membership for the upcoming season (*guard see note below). Any unavoidable conflicts should be discussed with your caption head and e-mailed to nancy@carolinacrown.org early in the audition process. Since the actual audition takes place over more than one camp, it is important to make every effort to attend as many camps as possible for your best possible chance at obtaining a full membership position. **Again, if you have a conflict with any one camp you must notify nancy@carolinacrown.org and your caption head BEFORE the camp.

*Guard should attend the November and/or December camp to be considered for membership. We understand your indoor guard may have rehearsal, but it is beneficial to see you at 1 or both of these camps prior to the April call back for consideration. THIS INCLUDES VETS. Any absence must be approved by the member's caption head and e-mailed to nancy@carolinacrown.org BEFORE the camp date.

There will be a special $200 rebate offered to brass members who attend and pay for all six camps brass camps. This rebate will be credited toward uniform or spring training fees at the time of move-in.

It is extremely important that you provide a reliable e-mail address that will accept file attachments. Most of our correspondence is done via e-mail and items such as your audition packet will be sent to you electronically through your e-mail account. School e-mail accounts are not reliable for receiving attachments! You can find other services that may work better for you (i.e. gmail or yahoo). ALL MEMBERS MUST HAVE A LEGITIMATE AND RELIABLE E-MAIL ADDRESS.

Camp check-in is from 6-8pm on camp Fridays. At 8pm there will be a meeting with administration, immediately followed by the first rehearsal block. Camps end on Sundays by approximately 3:00PM. All camps will be held in the Fort Mill, SC area. Shuttles will pick up at Charlotte-Douglas Airport (CLT) beginning at 4pm on Fridays. We will shuttle back to Charlotte-Douglas Airport on Sundays after camp ends. Please plan your return flights for after 5PM. All flights MUST be entered in Corpsdata to be on the shuttle schedule for pick-up/drop-off.
